Opens with great aromatics of dried red cherries, raspberries, huckleberries, chocolate, with a hint of spice and earthiness on the nose, this wine explodes with flavors on the palate. Flavors of complex red fruits ranging from dried cherries to huckleberries, this wine has a rich mid-palate that includes chocolate, spice, and a touch of earthiness that is very balanced and leads to a nice round finish.
54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot, 17.5% Syrah, 5% Pinot Noir, 2.5% Malbec, and 2% Cabernet Franc
The 2014 PURE RED is a complex blend, using six different grape varietals as well has five of our vineyard parnters that are committed to grow organically. All the componets of this wine fermented in our stainless steel upright fermenter, we used PDM yeast on the Cabernet Sauvignon, Cab Franc, and the Syrah lots, 796 yeast on the Malbec and Pinot Noir, and 1503 on the Merlot. 100% malolatic fermentation was completed in our stainless steel tank.
